WELCOME TO MY TRAVEL BLOG

I have always enjoyed traveling, even if it meant sleeping in a tent when I was younger. I prefer hotels and cruise cabins now, but the motivation is the same...an adventure waiting to happen. Sometimes you will find me traveling with my husband and/or family. Sometimes I will travel alone, and sometimes I will travel with friends. I hope you find it entertaining to keep up to date with me as I explore the world around me. Warning...I like to take pictures of food so don't read if you're hungry. More adventures await...see ya soon...Amy.

St. Regis San Francisco

The St. Regis San Francisco

The front lobby is integrated into the lounge area.

Very wierd statue next to the elevators

fresh orchids in the elevator lobby of our floor

everything in the room was operated from this box on the nightstand. we had to ask someone how to turn on the lights before we knew what this was!

This "wall" was actually the coffee/refrigerator and closet area

our view

another view

these doors opened to reveal the bathroom

very spacious

always appreciate a toilet in its own space

nice and roomy shower with very thick and heavy glass doors

lovely amenities

this art structure was located a block or so from our hotel

these faces were located near the art structure above.

when we returned from dinner, we found our beds turned down and a mat on the floor with slippers!
We were able to use Ben and Ashley's discount to secure a room at this very nice hotel. It was located in the business district away from the tourist areas, but was within a couple of blocks of the end of the cable car line. It was also surrounded by restaurants and shopping! I had put a note about celebrating my birthday when I booked the hotel. They took note of that and gave us a complimentary upgrade so we could have an upper floor with a view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel!
