WELCOME TO MY TRAVEL BLOG

I have always enjoyed traveling, even if it meant sleeping in a tent when I was younger. I prefer hotels and cruise cabins now, but the motivation is the same...an adventure waiting to happen. Sometimes you will find me traveling with my husband and/or family. Sometimes I will travel alone, and sometimes I will travel with friends. I hope you find it entertaining to keep up to date with me as I explore the world around me. Warning...I like to take pictures of food so don't read if you're hungry. More adventures await...see ya soon...Amy.

Today I am going to New York City with Travis, Christy, Reagan, Christy's niece Laurel, and our french cousin Axelle Jude. This is Axelle's second trip to the United States and she has always wanted to go to New York City. Travis asked if I might like to hitch a ride and come along and of course I said yes! Travis is a pilot and owns his own plane. He and the crew picked me up in Oak Grove at the local airport. Our trip to NYC was pretty uneventful, but we had no idea that arriving in rush hour traffic could make a 20 minute ride turn into an hour and a half to get to the hotel. During that ride was when I discovered that I had dropped my phone at the airport. Thankfully, someone picked it up and turned it in and they agreed to hold it for me until I get back. Because of our travel delay into the city,  Travis's well intentioned plan to go to a Yankees game did not turn out quite like he planned. We missed a good part of the Yankees vs. Braves game because of the delays, but we got hot dogs and crackerjacks anyway and it really was a fun experience in the new Yankee Stadium. Tomorrow we have an action packed day planned. Until then….
