WELCOME TO MY TRAVEL BLOG

I have always enjoyed traveling, even if it meant sleeping in a tent when I was younger. I prefer hotels and cruise cabins now, but the motivation is the same...an adventure waiting to happen. Sometimes you will find me traveling with my husband and/or family. Sometimes I will travel alone, and sometimes I will travel with friends. I hope you find it entertaining to keep up to date with me as I explore the world around me. Warning...I like to take pictures of food so don't read if you're hungry. More adventures await...see ya soon...Amy.

Got My Disney Ears On!!

Christy's Chocolate Mousse

My Profiteroles
Well I really don't have any Disney ears on, but I am currently on vacation here at "the happiest place on earth"! I am here at DisneyWorld with my sister in law, Christy, and before you ask... no we don't have any kids with us! It's just a grownup girls trip this time. I flew Southwest for the first time in a long time and wound up with a 1 and 1/2 hour delay. Christy arrived early and waited for me in the airport. We took the Disney express to our hotel straight from the airport. We checked into the hotel and went immediately to the shuttle bus for Epcot. We had reservations at Chefs de France in the France Pavillion and didnt want to miss it. We arrived only a few minutes late, but they seated us at a small table next to the window so we could watch the fireworks display on the lagoon. We are eating on the Disney Dining plan. I've never done this, but Christy has. The plan we chose includes a snack, a table service meal, and a counter service meal for each day you are here. This will enable us to eat at places we might not have tried because they were too expensive and still stay within our plan. Tonight, Christy and I each ate French Onion Soup and delicious Shortribs. Christy had chocolate mousse for dessert and I had profiteroles. All of this was part of our plan! Our food was delicious and there was so much, that we weren't even able to eat it all! Tomorrow we go to Epcot and start our Cupcake Crawl across Disney! Until tomorrow...
