The Carnival Palace is 6/10 of a mile from the train station. We only crossed one bridge over the canal to get there. It was very easy to find but it seemed to take forever to find it the first time. Our room was not ready when we checked in, but we expected that as it was early in the morning. They have a dedicated room to lock up luggage so that we could leave it at the hotel and go out to see the sights. The hotel is very modern and clean. The beds were super comfortable. I don't understand the purpose of the wierd purple colored lighting that is optional in the shower. There are no coffee or tea facilities in the room, but there is a refrigerator for a mini bar that we put our water bottles in. There was counter space in the bathroom and the shower glass wall kept all the water in the shower. There was plenty of light in our room and lots of hot water. The best part of this hotel is that it is off the beaten path which leads to quiet evenings. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.
